Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Operational Accounting - Tier-1, publicly traded company A world-class real estate compay is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Operational Accounting team. In this role, you'll partner with operations, asset management, and accounting leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting for a portfolio of senior housing communities while contributing to process improvements and strategic business initiatives. Compensation $105,000 – $120,000 base salary plus a generous annual cash incentive program and comprehensive benefits package. What You'll Do Prepare and record monthly journal entries by mapping operator-level financial information into corporate reporting. Produce monthly financial reporting packages, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement variance analysis. Analyze key operating metrics including occupancy, RevPOR (Revenue Per Occupied Room), operating margins, and other performance indicators. Review capital expenditure activity and ensure accurate financial reporting. Reconcile material balance sheet accounts and coordinate with third-party operators to resolve discrepancies. Review lease amendments and maintain lease profiles and accounting records. Prepare quarterly reporting schedules and support SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K disclosures. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Support onboarding of newly acquired properties and operators, including financial setup and reporting integration. Partner with Asset Management and other departments to provide financial analysis and operational support. Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, accuracy, and efficiency. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Public accounting, public company, real estate, healthcare, or REIT experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets. Experience with financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Why Join Us?
