Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $115,000 per year.


Job Description:

• Prepare periodic general journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure an accurate and timely financial close.
• Communicate effectively and escalate issues to appropriate Accounting leaders promptly.
• Collaborate closely with the Accounting Team and report directly to the Accounting Manager.
• Review leases, enter lease information into software systems, and ensure proper accounting for lease agreements.
• Assist with special projects, including system enhancements and establishing new account reconciliations.
• Support annual audits by gathering necessary documentation and preparing audit schedules.
• Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, including cost of sales, lease accounting, prepaids, and liabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Active CPA license required.
• 3-7 years of accounting experience in public or private companies.
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred.
