Chief Product Officer/Head of Product (Founding ) Based in US, UK Remote (San Francisco, CA and NYC Preferred) Our Client is building the infrastructure that enables regulated financial institutions to securely participate in the digital asset economy. They believe the next decade of finance will be built on programmable money, but it will require new trust, identity, and permissioning infrastructure before banks, brokerages, and payment companies can fully embrace it. They are an early-stage company inside Gravity Venture Studio and backed by Defy VC, giving them the support of experienced founders, operators, and investors while maintaining the speed and ownership of a startup from day one. The team's design philosophy is simple: solve real customer problems, ship quickly, and build products that become foundational infrastructure for financial institutions. We're looking for the teams first Chief Product Officer to build that future alongside the CEO. About the Role: This is not a traditional executive role. You won't inherit a team of Product Managers or spend your time managing roadmaps from a distance. You'll work directly with the founder, engineers, customers, and design partners to discover what the product should become and help build it from the ground up. You'll spend as much time talking to customers as you do thinking about product strategy. You'll help define the company's vision, make difficult prioritization decisions, and translate customer problems into products that institutions trust. What You'll Do * Partner directly with the CEO to define product strategy and long-term vision. * Conduct customer discovery with fintechs, digital asset infrastructure providers, and regulated institutions. * Translate customer problems into clear product requirements and execution plans. * Prioritize ruthlessly, balancing customer value, engineering effort, and business objectives. * Work daily with engineering to shape architecture, APIs, workflows, and user experience. * Build and maintain the product roadmap. * Help recruit and build the future product organization. * Work closely with design partners to iterate rapidly toward product-market fit. * Represent the product in customer meetings, fundraising discussions, and strategic partnerships. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has: * Experience taking complex products from 0 to 1. * Strong product intuition grounded in customer conversations. * Comfort working directly with engineers on highly technical products. * Exceptional communication skills. * A bias toward action and rapid iteration. * Curiosity, humility, and intellectual honesty. * Experience in fintech, financial infrastructure, security, identity, developer tools, enterprise software, blockchain, or regulated technology is a strong plus.
