UX / Content Writer Role Summary Primary owner of UX content strategy, Key Page Mockups (built using Web Design System), and plain-language content quality across the engagement. Key Responsibilities - (Discovery, IA & UX) Author the Strategic Brief and define the engagement's tone of voice. Write navigation copy and content labels for IA and sitemap. Develop UX research questions and personas. Conduct content quality assessments during the content audit. Author Key Page Mockups using Drupal instance and Web Design System components. Author the UX Recommendations report. Key Responsibilities - (Build, Migration & Launch) Apply plain-language edits per principles across up to 500 high-priority pages. Conduct accessible content rewrites for accessibility remediation. Perform content fidelity QA during migration. Draft user-facing redirect messaging where applicable. Perform content QA on the built site. Document content strategy and ownership in governance materials. Apply post-launch content fixes during hyper-care. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of UX writing or content strategy experience. Demonstrated plain-language writing portfolio. Experience with design systems (preferably Web Design System or US Web Design System). Experience writing for government, regulated, or healthcare environments. Familiarity with content patterns and microcopy. Preferred Qualifications Plain Language Association International (PLAIN) certification or equivalent. Drupal authoring experience. Experience producing WCAG 2.1 AA conformant content. vTech Solution
