Four-day work week! One weekend day off! Hoosier Mama Pie Company is looking for a talented, detail-oriented assistant pastry chef to join our small but mighty Ukrainian Village Crew. We bake seasonally using the best local ingredients we can find from local farmers and foragers. One year of previous bakery or pastry experience required. Duties include: making pastry creams and curds, making and rolling pie dough, assembling sweet and savory pies, prepping fresh fruit for pie production, topping and finishing pies, making muffins and scones, and ensuring the pies and pastries meet our standards. Must be able to work cleanly and efficiently in a small space and team environment. Successful candidates will work well independently and in a team, learn and grow enthusiastically in their craft, and help those around them do the same. The schedule is 4 ten-hour shifts per week. One weekend day and one early morning shift (5 am or 6 am start, depending on the season/day of the week) are required. Please email a resume and a brief cover letter.
