Position Summary Kimbell Royalty Partners, LP is seeking a highly motivated Revenue Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is responsible for the accurate recording, analysis, and reconciliation of oil and natural gas royalty revenue generated from Kimbell’s diverse mineral and royalty interest portfolio. The Revenue Accountant will work closely with accounting, land, and financial reporting teams to support the company’s continued growth through acquisitions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced public company environment with significant acquisition activity and a large, geographically diverse asset base. Record and reconcile monthly royalty revenue received from operators and purchasers. Review revenue statements and owner reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. Analyze production volumes, pricing, ownership changes, and revenue variances. Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies, payment exceptions, and ownership issues. Maintain and update revenue decks and ownership records resulting from acquisitions and title changes. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. Support SEC reporting requirements and audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation. Partner with the acquisitions and land teams to onboard newly acquired assets and integrate ownership information. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or business-related degree. Accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of mineral and royalty interests, non-operated assets, or upstream oil and gas accounting preferred. Understanding of oil and gas ownership structures and revenue accounting principles. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Experience with oil and gas accounting systems and financial reporting applications preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
