Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026/2027 school year in the vibrant Port Charlotte area. This contract, full-time position allows you to make a positive impact on students' lives while enjoying the advantages of working in a supportive environment. We are seeking two dedicated professionals ready to contribute to the success of a diverse student population. Open to both experienced SLP-CCCs and those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Travelers are encouraged to apply!
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold or be eligible for a valid Speech-Language Pathology state license
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP or CFY status accepted
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred but not required
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site, full-time (40 hours per week) throughout the 2026/2027 school year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Offer consultation and support for classroom adaptation strategies
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate student records in accordance with school and state guidelines
