Step into a rewarding role as a full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from PreK through 5th grade for the 2026–2027 school year. Based close to the Port Charlotte area, this contract opportunity offers a chance to make a real impact with a vibrant student community, starting as soon as possible through the end of May 2027.
With a manageable caseload of approximately 70 students presenting a wide range of exceptionalities, your expertise will be vital in both general education settings and ESE classroom environments. Each day brings fresh opportunities to help children develop their communication skills and achieve academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active state licensure or eligibility for Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
- Compassion and adaptability when working with diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students PreK–5th grade
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records, assessments, and progress reports
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and team discussions
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment for all students
