What You’ll Do Assess materials for conformance to specifications and conduct root‑cause failure analysis, using instrumental analysis such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and thermal analysis. Perform quick‑turn laboratory analysis with a multi‑disciplinary team, paying close attention to detail. Review energetic material data, testing, and processes at supplier sites and support on‑site programs with analytical analysis of common material problems. Manage and coordinate a wide variety of simultaneous tasks within set schedule requirements while spending the majority of time in the laboratory. Apply knowledge of energetic safety requirements. Be able to lift 22 lbs. Travel, possibly internationally, to supplier locations as required. Qualifications You Must Have University degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience. Experience with energetic materials analysis and testing, including safety evaluations. Proficiency in analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis (IR, chromatography, thermal analysis – e.g., FTIR, DSC, DMA, TGA, GCMS, HPLC, GPC). Qualifications We Prefer Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Ability to troubleshoot analytical instruments, perform analysis, and interpret data. Strong communication, interpersonal, planning, teaming, and time‑management skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and within a team. Experience leading and completing large‑scale, multidisciplinary, scientific projects, including failure‑analysis investigations. Capability to write concise technical reports summarizing analyses. What We Offer Compensation range:$86,800 – $165,200 USD (good‑faith estimate).
