Job Description
Full Stack / Backend Developer (Backend-Focused)
\n \nLocation: Newark, NJ area
\nEmployment Type: Contract-to-Hire (W2)
\n \nRequirements:
\n- \n
- Experience with Python, Java, and JavaScript; working in distributed systems, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and design methodology \n
- Experience with Java services using Spring CLI, Maven, Microservices, multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing \n
- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Node.js (Full/MEAN/MERN stack) \n
- Data Store: Non-relational and relational data structures; MongoDB; BPM tools \n
- Data Streaming: SQS, Kinesis \n
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with business partners to develop high-quality applications \n
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development \n
- Recent experience building enterprise GenAI solutions, including AI agents, chatbots, or RAG applications \n
- Experience with AWS Bedrock or other enterprise LLM platforms \n
- 5+ years of relevant experience with Java-related technologies on Unix or Linux \n
- 5+ years of relevant experience with backend technologies including JBoss, Spring Boot, REST \n
- 3+ years of relevant experience with client-side technologies including React, JavaScript, JSON, REST \n
Knowledge/Understanding of:
\n- \n
- Application Programming Interfaces (APIs): consumption and development; implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) patterns; web service technologies such as APIs, REST, JSON, JDBC \n
- Experience with AWS AgentCore \n
- Unit, interface, and end-user testing concepts and tooling (functional and non-functional) \n
- Automated testing, agile development methodologies, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) \n
- Accessibility awareness \n
- Software security skills including secure coding, web application security, and DevSecOps; solid grasp of security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature, JWT, SSL, web service proxies, firewall, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0) \n
- DevOps tools and practices: branching techniques and usage of GitHub, Bitbucket, or Subversion; DevOps, Jenkins \n
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): monitoring and logging techniques \n
- AWS core services such as CloudWatch and CodeDeploy \n
