The Role

\n

\n

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong lean toward backend, API integrations, and data security to help build the core of Reklaim's platform and bring it to life end to end.

\n

\n

You'll be responsible for building secure, reliable systems that ingest sensitive financial data, integrate with third-party platforms, and support credit scoring and risk analytics at scale, while also shaping the frontend experience that brings it all together. You'll own this work end-to-end as the primary technical decision-maker on it by scoping, building, and shipping with minimal oversight.

What You'll Do

\n

\n

Backend (primary focus):

\n

- Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power Reklaim's platform

\n

- Integrate external systems and data sources, including accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks) and cannabis/fintech APIs

\n

- Build and support entity resolution/record linkage (matching and deduplicating records across data sources) for customer and third-party datasets

\n

- Build and document secure, versioned REST (and future GraphQL) APIs for internal and external use

\n

- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and tenant-aware access controls

\n

- Design and enforce data protection practices for sensitive financial and credit data

\n

- Support compliance efforts including SOC 2 alignment and auditability

\n

- Establish backend best practices around security, monitoring, logging, and error handling from day one

\n

\n

Frontend and Full Stack:

\n

- Design and implement front-end UX/UI in React (preferred) with TypeScript

\n

- Build features across a frontend deployed via Firebase Hosting and backend services running on Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL

\n

- Implement secure multi-tenant functionality, including tenant-scoped routes, permission-aware API logic, and isolated data views

\n

\n

Across the Board:

\n

- Work directly with founders and product leadership to iterate quickly on features supporting credit scoring, limits, and risk monitoring

\n

- Ensure security, compliance, and scalability from day one

\n

- Contribute to shaping engineering culture and technical strategy

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n

Backend and API Experience:

\n

- Strong backend development background (5+ years or equivalent real-world experience)

\n

- Proficiency with Python and FastAPI, including SQLAlchemy and Alembic

\n

- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus

\n

- Comfortable consuming, normalizing, and validating data from third-party systems

\n

\n

Frontend Experience:

\n

- Strong experience with React and TypeScript; other modern framework backgrounds considered

\n

- Experience with React + Vite + TypeScript, Firebase Hosting, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui for modern UI engineering

\n

- Experience designing clean, functional UX/UI

\n

\n

Data and Architecture:

\n

- Experience designing and operating multi-tenant backend systems

\n

- Strong understanding of tenant isolation, permission-aware routing, and secure data access patterns

\n

- Experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance considerations

\n

- Experience with entity resolution/record linkage (matching and deduplicating records across data sources)

\n

\n

Security and Compliance:

\n

- Strong understanding of backend security best practices, including encryption at rest and in transit, IAM and role-based access control, and secure API authentication (tokens, OAuth, API keys)

\n

- Experience designing systems aligned with SOC 2 principles, including audit logging, least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and token validation and lifecycle management

\n

- Familiarity with data privacy considerations

\n

\n

Infrastructure:

\n

- Experience deploying and operating services on Google Cloud, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Hosting

\n

- Experience with automated testing (pytest, Jest, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions); Docker familiarity a plus

\n

- Familiarity with BigQuery, service accounts, and IAM roles a plus

\n

\n
