General Manager

Overview Concord Hospitality is seeking an experienced hotel leader to manage our Homewood Suites - 1st Ward, in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a 13-story upscale, extended-stay hotel that has 209 suites for guests, 4,000 square feet of street-level retail area, 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting and pre-function space, an expanded fitness center, a pool and a lounge with a large outdoor terrace. It is close to the UNC Charlotte Center City campus, Spectrum Arena, Bank of America Headquarters, and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Responsibilities As a General Manager, hire, motivate and develop a winning management team supporting the company’s mission and cornerstones. Serve as liaison with the hotel brand, owners, and Concord to facilitate successful operations through brand training, operational deadlines, and attention to detail in budgeting and supply ordering. Network with city officials as the “face” of the hotel. Drive financial results and oversee sales and marketing efforts to remain competitive in the market. Lead, mentor and manage staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences and results. Qualifications Hilton experience preferred and prior GM experience. Charlotte market experience desirable. Great sales and networking skills to support a sales & marketing team. Proven track record of driving GSS. Proven ability to hire, mentor and lead teams to outstanding results.
