Social Media Manager

Remote (US preferred) Contract $55,000 – $85,000 / yr About the Role We are looking for a Social Media Manager to establish and grow Mektra's brand presence on social platforms. You will develop content strategies, create posts that start conversations, and build a following of SMB owners and operators who need custom software. This role works closely with the content writer and founder to amplify thought leadership and drive inbound interest. Responsibilities Develop and execute social media content calendars for LinkedIn, X, and Instagram Create engaging posts including text, graphics, and short-form video concepts Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across platforms Track engagement metrics and adjust strategy based on performance data Collaborate with the content team to repurpose blog posts, case studies, and tools for social Research trending topics in SMB software and local business communities Qualifications 2+ years of social media management experience for a B2B or professional services brand Proven ability to grow followers and engagement organically Experience with social scheduling tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or native platform tools Understanding of platform algorithms and best practices for organic reach Nice to Have Experience managing social for a software company, agency, or consultancy Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Figma, or similar tools Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and social selling techniques Interest in the SMB technology space and local business communities #J-18808-Ljbffr
