Job Description Accounts Receivable Clerk MAG INSTRUMENT, INC., the manufacturer of the Mag-Lite ® flashlight, has an immediate opening for a self-motivated individual to work as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our growing and future oriented team located in Ontario, California. Essential Functions · Positive can-do attitude · Flexible and willing to accept input and constructive criticism · Calculate post and manage accounting figures. · Reconcile account discrepancies by obtaining back up copies of deductions from customers, sales, and customer service department. · Investigate shortage claims, processes freight claims and returned product credits · Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers. · Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering approved credit memos and by adjustment entries. · Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deduction procedures. · Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions. · Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lockbox, local deposits, and ACH/Wire transfers. · Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Required Education and Experience · Minimum of 3 - 5 years recent hands-on accounts receivable experience · Exceptional written and communication skills · Knowledge of basic accounting, Accurate Data Entry, General Math · MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) · AS400 Experience and/or MAPICS experience a plus For more information about Mag Instrument, Inc. please visit us on our website at MAG INSTRUMENT, INC. 2001 S.
