Job Summary As a Staff Accountant, you will apply established accounting principles to perform a range of advanced level professional accounting, auditing, and statistical work. You will prepare, maintain, analyze, verify, and reconcile financial transactions, statements, records, and reports; assist in preparing month, quarter, and year‑end reports and schedules; and provide assistance to junior staff. Responsibilities Responsibilities for all general accounting functions including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliation, analysis, and preparation of financial statements. Managing daily cash and applying customer payments on a daily basis. Assist in establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization’s assets. Provide financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget. Prepare additional quarterly and yearly financial data. Upload and complete financial data to Onestream. Prepare various tax schedules/returns – income, sales tax, etc. Support internal and external audits. Responsible for fixed asset management. Familiarity with SOX compliance and testing. Qualifications 6-9 years of industry experience. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills. Strong ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision‑making. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills; able to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to work extended hours. Self‑motivated, deadline‑oriented, with ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in system implementations, process improvements, and cross‑functional collaboration to support strategic initiatives. Knowledge of Revenue Recognition ASC 606 is a nice‑to‑have. Knowledge of Cost Accounting is preferred but not required. Comfortable in a fast‑paced, growing work environment. Thrives in a small team environment with moderate‑to‑low supervision; high regard for confidentiality; strong analytical skills; positive attitude. Experience in driving change, improving processes and business process re‑engineering. Education & Certifications BA/BS in Finance/Accounting degree or equivalent discipline.
