You enjoy taking on new responsibilities and learning new skill sets whenever needed.What you will be doing:Responsibilities include, but are not limited, the design and preparation of substation drawings that include:Substation One Line and Three LineStation General Arrangements & SectionsGrounding Plan & DetailsConduit Plan & DetailsControl Cubicle Layout, Sections, Cable Tray, Lighting, and GroundingLow-Voltage AC PanelsProtective SchemesSubstation Relay One Lines and Three LinesAC/DC SchematicsSubstation Panel LayoutsSubstation Wiring Diagram and Cable ScheduleSCADA and Communication DiagramsDevelopment of Bill of Materials based on Design CriteriaCoordination with physical, protection & controls, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverablesParticipate in client meetings and perform site visits for data gathering as requiredInterpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverablesApply client standards related to the workPerform/ensure company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are being followed on all design packagesContinuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performanceMentor and guide junior designersWhat we need you to have (minimum qualifications):An associate’s degree in Drafting/Design or related field.
