Senior Manager, SOX

Corcept Therapeutics seeks a Senior Manager of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance to support the Director in managing and improving the company's internal controls over financial reporting and IT general controls. The role coordinates the annual SOX 404 program, leads control testing and remediation activities, and advises on system and process changes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate annual SOX 404 program including risk assessment, testing planning, and walkthrough scheduling
• Maintain and review Risk Control Matrices, process narratives, and audit workpapers for control linkage
• Lead execution of control testing across IT and financial processes, including access controls and system interfaces
• Evaluate control deficiencies, determine root causes, and support remediation plan development and monitoring
• Advise process owners on SOX governance for new systems, upgrades, and significant business changes

Requirements

• Experience managing SOX 404 compliance programs and internal control assessments
• Knowledge of information technology general controls, system implementations, and IT risk
• Familiarity with financial reporting processes, risk control matrices, and control documentation
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate with finance, IT, and audit teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for control deficiency evaluation and remediation
