Position Summary

The Systems Administrator provides foundational technical support and system administration for client environments, focusing on routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and accurate ticket handling. The role is an entry-to-intermediate step in the technical career path, with strong emphasis on learning and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle tickets requiring basic to intermediate troubleshooting of desktops, peripherals, user accounts, and standard applications.
• Perform routine admin tasks such as user provisioning, mailbox/group changes, printer setup, and basic network configuration under defined procedures.
• Monitor alerts and follow runbooks to triage issues, remediate where possible, or escalate appropriately.
• Keep tickets well-documented with clear notes and client communication.
• Assist with project tasks such as workstation deployments and basic hardware swaps.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent IT support experience.
• Basic understanding of Windows, M365, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with ticketing and remote support tools preferred.
• Ability to follow standard procedures and escalation paths.

Soft Skills:

• Strong customer service skills and professional phone/email presence.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes.
• Good organization and attention to detail in documentation and follow-through.
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure.
• Team-oriented, willing to assist peers and take feedback.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• 1–3 years of IT support experience.
• CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level certification.
• MSP or multi-client environment experience.
