Collections Coordinator

Overview Crane Aerospace and Electronics invites applications for a Collections Coordinator at its Auburn, CA location. Job Summary The Collections Coordinator ensures that the assigned customer base pays invoices by their due dates. Responsibilities Proactively research billing issues and partner with business units to resolve them. Identify root causes of recurring billing problems and recommend preventive measures. Follow all invoicing and collection processes. Increase cash flow and reduce bad debt for the assigned customer base. Contact customers on past‑due transactions, arrange payments, and verify obligations are met. Collect, manage, and resolve outstanding invoices to meet aging targets. Work customer deductions to ensure units and claims are processed timely per Crane policies. Research and analyze accounts before initiating contact; review payment history and prior collection efforts. Release credit holds on sales orders after evaluating customer worthiness and payment history. Collaborate with sales and customer service to resolve invoice-to-purchase order discrepancies and record call notes in Oracle. Maintain effective relationships with all management levels to resolve disputes while preserving customer relations. Make late‑stage collection calls and attempts to resolve issues before escalation. Perform other special projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience : 2–5 years in accounts receivable or equivalent education/experience. Knowledge : Purchase order to cash process. Skills/Abilities : Proficient in Windows and Office, especially Excel. Education/Certification : High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. Eligibility This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information; only U.S. Persons will be considered for such access. As a U.S. Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by ITAR. Salary USD 25.08 – 31.32 per hour; additional performance‑based bonuses may apply.
