Contracts Manager

Overview 1Password is seeking a Contract Manager to join our in-house legal team to support the contract management process within the legal department. Reporting to our Manager, Senior Legal Counsel, you will work closely with the Commercial Legal team, as well as the Sales and Finance teams, and other stakeholders throughout the organization. This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US, though some travel may be required from time to time. We are looking for a candidate who can draft, review, and manage contracts in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with internal teams to address contractual issues while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. What we're looking for Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field. 2 - 5 years’ experience in contract management in a corporate/legal environment. Strong understanding of contract law, legal principles, and contract management best practices. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including responsiveness, clear and effective communication, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams. Ability to work unsupervised to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in procurement and CLM software, G Suite and MS Office Suite. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Willingness and ability to learn about new laws, internal policies, guidelines, and best practices. Written and oral English language fluency. Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CCM, CPCM) or experience in a scaling SaaS company is a plus. What you can expect Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and revise contracts including sales agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements; ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards; identify and mitigate contractual risks and liabilities. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms with external parties to achieve favorable outcomes while protecting the company’s interests; collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance to address issues and reach mutually beneficial agreements. Contract Management: Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle; coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely renewals, amendments, and terminations. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries and issues; collaborate with legal, procurement, sales, and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency. USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $93,000 USD and $130,000 USD, plus participation in benefits, paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in incentive programs. Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $86,000 CAD and $120,000 CAD, plus participation in benefits, paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in incentive programs.
