Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist supports key compliance department functions, including investigating and resolving customer credit disputes through the E‑OSCAR system and standardized correspondence. The role ensures timely tracking, response, and documentation of customer and regulatory complaints, and supports monitoring and follow‑up on internal audit findings and state examination reports while managing multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment. Duties & Responsibilities Daily review and completion of credit disputes received via e‑OSCAR and direct dispute letters received at Home Office regarding customer accounts. Ensure customer complaints are processed, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. Distribute customer letters to Home Office, Supervisors, and Director of Compliance, and follow up for a response, tracking if needed. Prepare initial response of letters when appropriate. Ensure audit reports are processed; create follow‑up for supervisor response, alert supervisor, and Director of Compliance for overdue responses. Prepare initial customer complaint response for Director of Compliance and Home Office counsel review. Cross‑train to handle, in addition to the tasks, the duties of the Vendor Compliance Specialist if the need arises. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Highest level of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior when handling sensitive and confidential information. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and/or sit for eight (8) hours a day. Communicate effectively, verbally, written, in person, via telephone, or electronically. Lift and maneuver up to 20 lbs.
