About the Role Play a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing strategic initiatives and projects from inception to completion for the Information Services department. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, application, data analytics and project management professionals, as well as stakeholders from different business units, and senior leadership, to ensure the successful delivery of the projects. Your leadership and strategic thinking will be key in driving efficiency, innovation, and excellence within our Information Services department. Responsibilities Program Focus: Clinical Pathways & Process Standardization The IS Program Manager - Clinical Pathways will lead the development and operationalization of a system-wide clinical pathways program, with an emphasis on standardizing care delivery, improving outcomes, and reducing unwarranted variation. The Program Manager will establish and govern structured processes for clinical content intake, review, and prioritization, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practice and organizational goals. Key responsibilities include driving the design and lifecycle management of order sets and related clinical decision support tools, partnering with clinical, informatics, and information services stakeholders to ensure seamless integration within the EHR and ancillary systems. The role will also oversee workflow harmonization across service lines, ensuring scalable, repeatable processes that support quality, safety, and efficiency. Reporting through the clinical informatics structure, this position requires strong cross-functional leadership, experience in healthcare informatics or clinical operations, and the ability to translate clinical requirements into standardized, technology-enabled solutions. Candidates with Epic Orders certification and demonstrated experience supporting Clinical Pathways workflows within Epic will be strongly preferred. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. (Required) Master’s Degree: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. (Preferred) 5 years: Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or related role in the IT or Healthcare industry, with a successful track record of delivering complex programs. (Required) Required Skills Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.). Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies. Experience with Healthcare IT project/program management is desirable. Demonstrated ability to build successful working relationships with external vendors or out-sourced professional services providers. Familiarity with Cerner Millennium, Epic, PeopleSoft/Fusion, and ServiceNow is desirable. Preferred Skills Project Management (PMP) (Preferred) Pay range and compensation package The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children’s National believes an individual’s base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children’s National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual’s combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
