Kyle Armstrong Director of Law Enforcement Relations "My career has been about expanding impact — from handling single cases at the FBI, to supporting investigations nationwide in the Virtual Assets Unit, and now at TRM, helping law enforcement globally. Through Beacon Network, we’ve built something neither the private nor public sector could do alone: a dynamic partnership driving real action against illicit crypto activity worldwide." Chris Wong “At TRM, data isn’t just part of the process—it’s the very core of our existence, making it incredibly exciting for a data engineer like me to contribute where everything begins with data.” Staff Software Engineer (Data Platform) “Every day, I get to work with experts across law enforcement, engineering and law who share a mission to create a safer world for people. We actually fight bad guys, and help the good guys win.” Assistant General Counsel “I've spent my entire career working to protect the financial system from illicit actors, and now I get to do it on a bigger scale, alongside those who are the very best in the world at what they do, building something really special together.“ Ari Redbord Global Head of Policy

• By coming to TRM from the FBI, I’ve been able to scale my impact of combatting ransomware and nurturing collaboration between the public and private sectors.”
• I get to work with some of the smartest people I’ve ever met from 30+ countries, and we spend all day figuring out how to help combat drug trafficking/terrorist financing/elder scams/etc. I can’t imagine anything more fulfilling.”

Kevin Tran Data Science Team Manager “Some people in tech spend every weekday working on products that are not really making the world a better place. I get so much satisfaction spending my time looking for the smartest people I can find, and saying ‘Would you like work at a company that is making the world a safer place?” Head of Talent

• In my previous life in the public sector, there was a lot of bureaucracy that slowed down my ability to make an impact. Thats not the case at TRM, people here have high ownership and see through their projects. It’s so rewarding.”
• The product we’re building is making a real impact on peoples lives; and I get to build this alongside smart, passionate humans who push me to get better at my craft.”

Jenny Gai Senior Product Marketing Manager

• I can tell you the exact reason I decided to join TRM. When I was conducting my job search, I was evaluating 3 offers and all were in the start-up space. What stood out to me about TRM was very similar criteria to a previous start-up I joined that went public; it has bleeding edge technology, solid funding, very smart people and was experiencing hyper growth. That equation adds up to success.”
• I was most excited to join TRM because of our mission, but I didn’t realize how much I’d love working with this team. At TRM, we have a culture of supportive teamwork and close collaboration. My colleagues are some of the most interesting, high-integrity and high-achieving people I know. I’m inspired just by working alongside them.”

Kinsey Cronin Terry Carson Data Scientist "TRM offers an unparalleled and remarkable experience. Working at a company with a strong mission in a fast-paced industry is incredibly motivating—especially when you can directly see the difference your efforts make in the real world." Accounting Manager “Moving to the private sector from law enforcement can be quite challenging. I think one of the things that I struggled with, and is quite common, is that the move to the private sector often comes with a change in identity and lost purpose. But then I found TRM, and thats one of the reasons I really love it here- we've still got that purpose. I still get to work alongside law enforcement every day, and I still get to help catch bad guys — but now I just do it on a more global scale.” Head of Deployment Strategy, APAC “TRM is a place where I, and others, experience a safe environment to openly challenge ideas, which ultimately helps me learn and grow in my career” Staff Software Engineer “At our last company All Hands, we covered two recent cases where law enforcement had leveraged TRM - one helping stop an ISIS terrorist attack, and another helping stop a child sexual abuse operation. I love TRM not just because the people are brilliant, but because we dedicate our time to impact like this.” Our global team TRM brings together experts in machine learning, data science, anti-fraud and compliance to crack complex problems and build future-proofed solutions for pre-eminent organizations and public agencies around the world. Senior Product Designer Location Employment Type Full time Location Type Remote Department R&D Product Product Design Build a Safer World. TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure. Behind every scam, ransomware attack, and terrorist financing network, there's a trail of money. The people who follow that trail are investigators at law enforcement and government agencies, and compliance teams at crypto businesses and financial institutions. They do some of the most important work there is, and they do it with our products. As Senior Product Designer , you'll design the tools that help them find what matters faster and act on it before threat actors can do more harm. The problems are hard, the data is massive and messy, the decisions carry real consequences, and users can't afford to get it wrong. As AI takes on more of this work, you'll help define how people and agents get it done together. Your work will show up in solved cases, in criminal networks taken apart, and in communities that are safer because of it. What you'll own End-to-end design for core workflows across our public and private sector products, from first sketch to what ships The agentic experience in your areas: how users hand work to AI, check what it did, and decide whether to trust it Reusable patterns you contribute back to the design system, built so both designers and AI tools can use them The quality bar on what ships, through tight build reviews with engineering How you'll work Designing for experts: Our users are investigators and compliance analysts working through huge volumes of transactions, entities, and risk signals, often under time pressure. You'll learn their workflows well enough to see what they need before they ask for it, and you'll make dense, complex data feel clear without dumbing it down. Designing for humans and agents: More and more of the work in our product is done by an agent on the user's behalf. You'll design how that agent shows its reasoning, sources, and confidence; where a person steps in to review, correct, or redirect; and what happens when it's wrong. In this domain, trust is the hardest thing to get right. Building with AI: AI is already part of how you work. You use it to explore directions, generate variants, and get to something clickable fast, so PMs and engineers can react to a working prototype instead of a description. AI speeds you up, but the quality bar is still yours to set. Shipping with the team: You'll work across both our public sector and private sector pods, embedded with PMs and engineers in the same discovery and launch cycles, and your work doesn't end at handoff. You'll be in the Slack threads and huddles while the team builds, adjusting designs on the spot and explaining your reasoning clearly. You decide whether a problem needs the 1-day, 1-week, or 1-month version, and you design that one. What we're looking for Craft in complex products. Your portfolio shows data-heavy B2B product work done well: sharp information architecture and interactions that hold up under real use. Ownership. You drive design forward without waiting to be told, and you pull PMs, engineers, and other designers in early. You own the outcome without working alone. Agentic fluency. You've designed product surfaces where AI or automation does real work for the user, or you have a clear point of view on how that design problem differs from traditional UI. Systems thinking. You treat each solution as a pattern the rest of the product can reuse. You've contributed to or scaled a design system and know what makes one get used. Speed with judgment. You move fast and know when polish matters and when it doesn't. You'd rather put a rough version in front of the team today than a perfect one next week. About the team You'll join a high-output team of product designers inside TRM's Product org, which also includes Product Management, Product Marketing, and TRM Academy. You'll have a focus area, but no one here guards territory. You'll jump in wherever the work is most urgent, even on product surfaces you don't usually work on, and we give each other direct, fast feedback. We hold each other to a high bar. What TRM speed looks like in this role A PM shares a spec on Monday morning. By Tuesday you've posted mocks in the thread, along with an AI-built prototype that answers the open questions faster than a meeting would. Mid-build, an engineer finds the data can't support the approved design. You're in the huddle within the hour with two alternatives and a recommendation, and the team doesn't lose a day. An agent feature is ready to ship, but testers can't tell why it flagged a wallet. You design the explanation layer (sources, confidence, a path to dig deeper), and it's in engineering's hands that week.
