Details Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00 Required to work at least every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Floating between units and sister facilities based on skill set is expected Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active OR RN license required, compact license must be in hand at time of submission Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN preferred Minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience required Epic EMR experience required Skilled in critical care areas including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias Experience with neurological critical care such as CVA/stroke management, EVD, and ICP monitoring preferred Experience with renal, respiratory, cardiovascular, and GI critical care skills as outlined in role specialization Must provide two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment Additional Information Provide direct critical care nursing services to ICU patients with complex, multisystem conditions Floating to sister facilities within the region may be required, with additional incentives offered for float assignments to certain locations Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day) All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process Scrub color is flexible for RN roles No facility parking fees Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a lower bill rate First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment American Traveler Job ID P-750132.
