Schedule:

12-hour shifts with 1:2 patient ratios. Six weekend shifts per six-week schedule required to meet department needs. No on-call required. 48-hour shifts approved. Position may require floating between ICU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units.

Highlights:

- Join a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center providing short-term acute care- Work with a diverse case mix including CV surgery, trauma, general surgery, and neurosurgery patients- Manage complex conditions including ventilators, chest tubes, central venous lines, external ventricular drains, and advanced monitoring equipment- Epic charting system utilized facility-wide- 12-hour orientation period provided- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services

Requirements:

- Active RN license (Compact license accepted)- Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience required- Previous travel nursing experience required- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required- Epic charting system experience required- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred- Advanced critical care skills including cardiovascular surgery recovery, trauma management, ventilator management, chest tube care, central line management, external ventricular drain management, neurosurgery experience, and lab value interpretation- Proficiency with specialized equipment including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
