Accounting Administrator (temp to perm)

The Accounting Administrator assists and supports the accounting team with performing monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash reporting. The accounting administrator must work collaboratively with coworkers and possess strong organizational skills. The accounting administrator derives their authority and performs all duties with guidance from the Accounting Manager and Controller.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts to ensure accurate cash reporting.
\n
• Match and verify transactions between general ledger and bank statements.
\n
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, including outstanding checks, deposits in transit, and bank errors.
\n
• Record journal entries to correct variances and maintain accurate financial records.
\n
• Monitor daily cash activity and ensure all receipts, transfers, and disbursements are properly recorded.
\n
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to investigate reconciling items promptly.
\n
• Prepare reconciliation reports and maintain supporting documentation for audits.
\n
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
\n
• Utilize accounting software for efficient reconciliation processes.
\n
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures by providing accurate bank reconciliation summaries.

What We’re Looking For:

\n
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
\n
• Knowledge of computer systems (eCMS and/or JD Edwards preferred), including Microsoft Office products.
\n
• Must have strong work ethic and professional attitude.
\n
• Ability to prioritize workload, learn quickly, and maintain sensitivity to confidential nature of assignments.
\n
• Strong organization, presentation, and communication skills.
\n
• High School diploma or equivalent.
\n
