Job Brief

The Billing Specialist will support the Accounting/Finance Supervisor, perform administrative tasks related to the processing of invoices and billing into a proprietary system.

The Billing Specialist will support the Accounting/Finance department, perform administrative tasks related to the processing of invoices and billing into a proprietary system. The duties may include assisting in the organization and management of projects. This position will also support other staff members within the department or organization. Must be in person 5 days a week to our Snohomish, Washington office.


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Creates invoices in QuickBooks.
• Submits invoices to customers using proprietary system.
• Reconciles invoices and tracks to ensure payments are received.
• Ensures timely billing and receipt of payment.
• May performs account reconciliations as requested.
• Tracks invoices using Excel.
• Acts as main point of contact for assigned customer invoicing.
• May assist in project management.
• Creates Excel reports and worksheets as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Experience with accounting software programs is required, QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a team player and self-starter.
• Must be flexible and detail oriented
• Must maintain strict confidentiality.
• Accounting experience in a telecommunications environment is desired.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
• One to two years accounting experience desired.

Physical Requirements:

• Alternate sitting and standing at will (sit/stand desk).
• Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Requires viewing a computer screen for long periods of time.
• May lift or carry small parcels, packages, and other items.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, DOE
