Details Work in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting Provides care to medical ICU/MSICU patient population Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors Performs procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU interventions Documentation completed in Meditech 13-week assignment with 7P-7A shift schedule Rotating weekend requirement Floating required as needed No on-call responsibilities Requirements Active RN license (TX or Compact) required; temporary licenses not accepted BLS and ACLS certification required CCRN certification preferred NIH Stroke Certification required for MICU placement Minimum 2 years of hospital ICU experience required Meditech EMR experience preferred No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates) Additional Information Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; no local candidates accepted Royal blue scrubs required for RNs Facility is a Level III trauma center with an ICU serving high-acuity patients Assignments made according to patient acuity and staff skill level American Traveler Job ID P-745675.
