Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: - 12 months permanent experience in specialty applying for - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation - Ability to work at least every other holiday Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown Neuro. The position requires working on day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for. Experience in progressive care units is preferred but not mandatory. A permanent Ohio license or a compact state license must be in hand during submission. Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required. Travelers must work at least every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both assessments. Candidates must have one reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty being applied for. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Applicants with any background hits will be reviewed, and open cases will not be accepted. Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free requirements. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine testing, is required within 12 months of start. Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required. Annual competency requirements must be completed to maintain compliance.
