Social Media Manager

Our client, the technology and entertainment industry, is seeking a Social Media Manager to join their team. As a Social Media Manager, you will be part of the marketing and social media support team for a large gaming studio. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, creativity, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Remote, US based, must work PST time zone hours

Pay Range: $44.00-$47.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Lead social planning and execution for Minecraft Education on social media, ensuring alignment with broader brand voice and business objectives.
• Partner with marketing teams to understand priorities, timelines, and success metrics, translating them into effective social strategies and content plans.
• Shape briefs and recommendations that enable creative teams to deliver culturally relevant, engaging social content.
• Monitor platform trends, cultural moments, and creator ecosystems to identify opportunities for authentic engagement.
• Manage day-to-day social media operations, including content planning, scheduling, community engagement, and light moderation.

What's Needed?

• 4+ years of experience in public relations, marketing, community management, social media management, or communications.
• 1+ year of product-relevant industry experience, such as gaming or entertainment.
• 3-5 years of experience in social media strategy planning, goal setting, and implementation.
• Experience managing high-volume social media channels for well-known organizations within the gaming sector.
• Strong knowledge of social media trends, analytics tools, and copywriting skills adaptable to various tones of voice.
