Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) in a Level 4 Maternal Center. This seasonal contract position spans 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026 and ending on 12/14/2026, with day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The role involves caring for highly complex maternal patients, including high-risk pregnancies, and requires an experienced professional capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid Nursing license, minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, experience with high-risk maternal patients, circulating operating room and triage experience. Preferred or Nice-to-Have Qualifications: More than 5 years of experience. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: The unit is a Level 4 designated maternal center caring for the most complex patients, with approximately 22 beds, including 16 labor beds. Staff typically consists of around 100 members, including RNs and support staff. The team utilizes EMR systems such as CPN and Meditech. The unit values team players, multitaskers, and individuals who can adapt quickly. The staff is very tenured, with long-term leadership supportive of the team. Recent renovations are underway to update all rooms on the floor.
