Empower Rental Group is hiring a Procurement Coordinator in Nashville, TN!Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. This role coordinates day-to-day purchasing activities across branches and internal teams, focusing on organizing and clearing blocked POs, resolving vendor and internal discrepancies, supporting PO compliance, and helping invoices move through the payment process. The position also supports branch purchasing needs, capital PO follow-up, RentalMan item master approvals, and Smart Equip vendor and error management. By maintaining accurate records, supporting contract compliance, and improving procurement processes, this role helps the business leverage its buying power for operational efficiency and cost savings.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Purchase Order Compliance and OrganizationPartner with Accounts Payable to review the blocked PO report and work toward daily clearance.Organize and prioritize blocked POs; investigate pricing, quantity, vendor setup, item master, receipt, and compliance discrepancies.Coordinate corrections with vendors, branches, operations, finance, and other internal teams as needed.Provide corrected PO or vendor information to Accounts Payable and follow unresolved items through completion.Monitor recurring blocked PO causes and recommend processes or data improvements that reduce payment delays.Purchasing and Order ManagementPrepare, process, update, and track purchase orders in alignment with company policies and procedures.Monitor order status and delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies or delays with vendors.Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP and procurement systems.Follow up on capital purchase orders and communicate outstanding actions to the appropriate stakeholders.Vendor Coordination and SetupServe as a point of contact between vendors and internal departments for order updates, pricing, delivery, and invoice-related issues.Assist with vendor qualification, onboarding, setup, cleanup, and compliance with company standards.Maintain vendor data between Sage and RentalMan and assist in maintaining the Smart Equip vendor list.Support vendor consolidation, scorecards, and performance tracking.Item Data and Systems SupportMonitor purchasing activity for compliance with procurement policies and budget guidelines.Review and process RentalMan Item Master item approvals and support item-data accuracy.Lead initial troubleshooting of Smart Equip errors, document issues, and seek additional assistance when resolution requires escalation.Maintain accurate and current procurement files, contracts, and supporting documentation.Procurement Projects and ReportingAssist with audits, reporting, and tracking procurement metrics, including blocked-PO trends and recurring issues.Work with the Procurement Manager to gather and analyze spending, pricing, and vendor-performance data.Support sourcing initiatives, contract renewals, and negotiations through administrative and analytical assistance.Coordinate with finance, operations, field teams, and branches to support consistent procurement processes.Qualifications:Education and Experience:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.One to three years of procurement, purchasing, accounts payable coordination, or supply chain experience preferred; equipment rental, construction, or manufacturing experience is a plus.Skills and Competencies:Strong organization, follow-up, multitasking, and attention to detail.Ability to research purchasing and invoice discrepancies and coordinate resolution across departments.Clear written and verbal communication with vendors, branches, Accounts Payable, and operational teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; ERP and procurement-system experience preferred.Experience with or ability to learn RentalMan, Sage, Smart Equip, and related purchasing systems.Ability to manage a high-volume blocked-PO workload, meet deadlines, and escalate system issues appropriately.Problem-solving mindset with a focus on service, teamwork, data accuracy, and continuous improvement.Work Environment:Office-based position with regular communication across branches, vendors, Accounts Payable, finance, operations, and field teams.Standard business hours with flexibility for project deadlines and time-sensitive purchasing or invoice issues.Occasional travel to vendors or branch locations may be required.Empower Rental Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
