Internal Auditor

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our team! In this role, you will evaluate internal controls, assess financial and operational processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting financial, operational, or general audits, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. Responsibilities Perform internal audits across the company to assess controls, financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Prepare clear and concise audit work papers, reports, findings, and recommendations. Track and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions until resolution. Communicate audit progress, observations, and results to the Director of Internal Audit. Support special studies, process improvement initiatives, regulatory filings, and other special projects. Assist with external financial statement audits. Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations, auditing standards, and best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of two (2) years of auditing experience. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and at least two (2) years of Financial Service Industry auditing experience will also be considered. Candidates whose audit experience is exclusively focused on IT auditing may not be the best fit for this role, as the position is primarily responsible for financial, operational, and compliance audits. Strong understanding of internal audit procedures, risk assessment, internal controls, and audit methodologies. Professional certifications such as CPA or CIA is preferred but not required.
