Job Profile The bank is searching for a Teller Supervisor who will ensure that the teller area is managed efficiently and effectively and that transactions are conducted with speed and accuracy while meeting or exceeding service quality standards. Education Level High School or GED, plus specialized schooling or on-the-job education in a specific skill area; e.g., data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc. Work Experience 2 years of related experience or training , or equivalent combination of education and experience Basic software skills such as 10-Key, Payroll Systems, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing License/Certification Some outside banking-related courses (preferred) Duties/Responsibilities Assigns work duties and work schedules to tellers. Assists tellers in resolving service problems, complex inquiries, and other customer issues. Coach staff to cross-sell bank products and services. Completes all required monthly audit reports and ensures compliance. Completes required BSA/AML training and other required compliance training as assigned.Identify and provide staff training. Lift coin bags up to 50 lbs. May be required to work at an alternative location within the region or market. Monitors and reports various activities for the branch, e.g., teller outages, transactions as assigned. Monitors cash limits in teller stations and branches and makes appropriate shipment decisions. Participate in goal setting and attaining established goals. Provides approval on other tellers’ transactions. Guides tellers relating to operational and auditing policies and procedures. Review timecards and track absences and tardiness, and communicate with the supervisor. Serves as backup for CSR as required. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. Perform all duties of a Senior Teller. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Working Conditions Somewhat disagreeable working conditions. Continuously exposed to one or two elements such as noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting. May involve some travel or work at times, in the evening or during the night hours. Physical Demands Continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds; regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds. Semi-repetitive type work which requires periods of concentration for varied time cycles as prescribed by the tasks.
