For 23 years, Red Hat on the River has been an iconic name in the community. We're looking for our next Executive Chef to lead our food program into a new and exciting chapter.

You'll join a strong, experienced team, backed by stable ownership and management. Our kitchen team is reliable, skilled, and eager for great leadership. We're a hospitality-forward group that communicates openly and supports one another.

You're an experienced executive-level chef who can run a high-volume kitchen while sourcing high-quality products at competitive market prices. We're not looking for an overhaul of our food program, but you will have real opportunity to make the menu your own.

Cuisine: American bistro with an Italian-French lean. We're open to American, French, Italian, and even Asian influences.

Culinary:

• Lead and develop the menu, taking into account our kitchen layout, available equipment, and seasonal peaks in business
• Design plating that balances modern sophistication with warmth and approachability
• Source quality ingredients at competitive prices
• Manage our private event food program

Administrative:

• Manage staff schedules and labor cost in partnership with the owner
• Manage food cost to the owner's expectations
• Handle food ordering and inventory monitoring
• Maintain and supervise the kitchen maintenance schedule and program
• Maintain positive communication with the service staff before and during each shift
