Your attention to detail and dedication to food quality will contribute to the success of our culinary team.What You’ll Do:Ingredient Preparation: Prepare and portion ingredients, such as vegetables, proteins, and other items, following standardized recipes and portion sizes.Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control to ensure that all ingredients meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance.Station Setup: Set up and organize the prep station with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment for efficient cooking.Food Safety: Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food storage, handling, and temperature monitoring.Timing: Work efficiently to ensure that all prepped ingredients are readily available for use during service hours.Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the prep area and equipment clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring ingredient inventory levels and notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages or replenishment needs.Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with menu items, variations, and any allergen information to assist kitchen staff and servers.Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with kitchen Team Members, including chefs, cooks, and servers, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.What You’ll Need:Previous experience as a prep cook or kitchen assistant is preferred but not required.Ability to work 4pm - Midnight shiftBasic knowledge of food preparation techniques and knife skills.Commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Villa Restaurant Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.IND1 #J-18808-Ljbffr 40North
