Production Support

Job DescriptionPosition Description:Performs entry level,productionlabor support to other manufacturing team members/departments as needed. All work duties are performed underthe direction andsupervision of the department supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives work assignments from Shop Supervisor and discussesjobto minimize questions about what is to be done.Primary duty will be theinsulatingof steel and aluminum tank trailers.Ability to learn how tooperatewelding equipment and related equipment to perform weld procedures, which ensure proper weld size, weld penetration, fit-up and appearance.Usesdevices (fixtures) tomaintaincorrect positioning.Ability to learn methods of grinding welds, deburr rough metal, producevarious finishes on metal.Performs rework asrequiredto ensure completeness and compliance with established specifications.Coordinates with other employees toensueneeded materials are in the work area.Useshand tools asrequired.Follows established safety procedures and policies at all times.Maintains clean, orderly work area to minimize safety hazards.Performs other duties asapparentor assigned.Demonstratesabilityto work in a cooperative manner with others.WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative ofthose anemployee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
