Director of Product Development

We’re partnering with a leading global interconnect technology manufacturer on a high-impact Director of Product Development opportunity for an engineering leader who wants to influence more than day-to-day execution. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary global engineering organization responsible for developing next-generation connector and interconnect technologies , while working directly with executive leadership to shape product strategy, engineering direction, and the technology roadmap. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Lead global engineering teams focused on new product development and innovation Shape product and engineering strategy alongside senior executive leadership Drive next-generation connector, interconnect, and electromechanical product development Lead products from early concept and design through validation and production launch Partner with manufacturing, quality, sales, marketing, and operations to bring products to market Develop and mentor engineering leaders while building a high-performing technical organization Work on technology supporting increasingly demanding high-speed electronic applications Join a financially strong, privately held global manufacturer with a long-term investment approach What We're Looking For 10+ years of experience in product development or engineering Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams and engineering managers Strong background in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, connector, or interconnect product development Experience taking new products from concept through production Experience with new product introduction and commercialization Strong cross-functional and executive communication skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree or MBA is a plus Connector, interconnect, switch, cable assembly, or related electromechanical industry experience is highly preferred $170,000–$200,000+ base salary , depending on experience Very comprehensive relocation package Hybrid flexibility based on business and leadership requirements Location & Relocation This position is based in the Louisville/New Albany, Indiana area and requires relocation .
