Title Examiner - Remote, USThe Title Examiner position will provide our new hire with the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group's Title Department. As our team-members progress and demonstrate a consistent ability to meet performance standards, promotional opportunities become available.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExamine title reports provided by third party search vendors for mortgage foreclosure transactionsIdentify necessary Defendants to a judicial mortgage foreclosure actionIdentify parties required to receive notice of a non-judicial foreclosure actionIdentify superior interests, title defects and title curative issuesUtilize online search portals for in-house tax and title searchesAbility to use online tools to plot metes and bounds legal descriptionsKnowledge of using online websites to obtain aerial views of the subject propertyQualificationsRequired Qualifications:3-5 years of title examination experience is required – preferably in the mortgage foreclosure arenaSuperior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiencyProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applicationsExperience using PDF applications such as Adobe Acrobat and eCopy to markup title reportsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience performing paperless title examinationsPreferred Qualifications:Multi-state examination experience, preferably in some or all of the following states: CA, DE, GA, KY, IL, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, MI and VARobertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC is a national law firm specializing in creditors' rights and real estate law, offering employees the opportunity to work on high-impact legal matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong growth potential.
