Job Description

The Manufacturing Associate operates welding and cutting equipment to process metal components to precise specifications, supporting efficient production within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding machines safely and efficiently to produce metal parts according to production requirements.
• Cut metal materials to specific lengths, following detailed measurements and work instructions.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust machinery to maintain consistent quality and output.
• Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading, unloading, and staging materials for production.
• Perform basic assembly tasks as needed to support manufacturing workflows.
• Conduct routine visual inspections of parts and materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with metals, machinery, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including production, warehouse, and material handling spaces.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Report equipment issues or irregularities promptly to help minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with metals or machinery in a production setting.
• Ability to operate welding machines or similar equipment safely and effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, machines, and industrial equipment.
• Experience with material handling tasks such as moving, staging, or organizing materials.
• Basic machine operating skills, including starting, stopping, and monitoring equipment.
• Ability to perform assembly work with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable work habits and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong awareness of safety practices in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in warehouse environments supporting manufacturing activities.
• Ability to read and understand basic measurements for cutting and fabrication work.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset when working with machinery and materials.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility that handles metal materials and operates welding and cutting machines. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. Work is performed in production and warehouse areas where employees work around machinery, materials, and equipment, following established safety procedures and maintaining an organized workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville,FL.
