Key Responsibilities\n

As the School-Based Mental Health Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate students' mental health needs and developing tailored treatment plans that align with established best practices.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to provide individualized therapy sessions.

• Documenting sessions and maintaining accurate clinical records in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant standards.

• Collaborating effectively with teachers, school counselors, and educational staff to coordinate care and ensure that mental health interventions are integrated into the educational framework.

• Participating in interdisciplinary meetings and case consultations to provide insights and enhance treatment outcomes.

• Providing psychoeducation to students and their families about mental health concerns, coping strategies, and available resources.

• Staying informed about the latest developments in mental health research and incorporating new findings into your practice.

• Managing a full caseload of clients while adhering to all ethical and professional guidelines established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
