Mental Health Shield Psychological Services is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated team in Newark, New Jersey. In this full-time position, the ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health support to individuals, couples, and families through both in-person and remote services. Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting combined with occasional in-office requirements to facilitate collaborative team meetings and client interactions in our outpatient office, located in Newark, NJ. Our work hours are set from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing our therapists to maintain a work-life balance while providing essential mental health services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a caseload of 25-30 clients per week, delivering services through telehealth platforms and in-person sessions.
• Document treatment progress and outcomes meticulously, adhering to company protocols for case notes, treatment plan reviews, and ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, school staff, and medical personnel, to coordinate care and ensure client well-being.
• Engage clients using creative therapeutic interventions that inspire and facilitate goal achievement.
• Provide feedback and support during team meetings, contributing to the overall mission of filling community gaps in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, couples, and families. The LMFT will help clients address a range of issues such as relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey is required.

• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and demonstrate stable behavior in client relationships.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver therapy is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with various client demographics and comfort with mental health documentation requirements.
• Previous exposure to conducting diagnostic assessments, creating treatment plans, and writing clinical case notes.
• Familiarity with community resources to provide clients with additional support options.
• Experience working with specific issues such as addiction, behavioral concerns, and family dynamics.

• Competitive annual salary between $90,000 and $110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
