Specialty Controller - Capitalized Assets and Technology

DescriptionSummary:The Business Segment Controller is a part of the Corporate Finance Division and will directly report to the Head of Accounting Policy and Specialty Controllership.Duties and Responsibilities:Directly and through identified accounting staff, directs the accounting activities for identified business segment(s), specifically fixed asset, leases, software and technology, with opportunity to expand the role into other specialty corporate areas over time. Ensure that accounting controls are adequate and effective. Responsible for ensuring that reconciliations are accurate, complete and in compliance with US GAAP. Acts as collaborative business partner with identified business segment(s). Strategically identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve controls and financial performance of the business segment(s).Lead process improvement and strategy for areas of supervision, including optimizing processes for new systemsKey leader for M&A related activities related to capitalized assets from due diligence though integration of the subject matter areasPerforms other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:10+ years of progressive accounting experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Quantitative field.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, deliver to deadlines, handle stress with composure and professionalism, and move work forward with limited directionStrong analytical and critical thinking skills and an understanding of the concept of materiality (i.e., knows when information is relevant)Ability to collaborate and foster teamworkDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, and demonstrate confidence and competence in group meeting situationsExperience with Workday or similar ERP systemsAbility to use Microsoft Office softwareExempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)YesWorkplace Type:OfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.Compensation Range:$93000-$189000 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
