Front Desk Coordinator I

Smile Doctors Champaign and Charleston offices is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator I to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, and passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the day-to-day operations of our practices.

How you'll make us better:

Greet and receive customers, determines nature of visit, and notifies appropriate team member(s).

Performs various administrative duties.

• Welcomes visitors to the practice and provides information about clinic features
• Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and takes messages as needed
• Checks-in and collects general information from patients on their first visit
• Verifies insurance information
• Notifies clinicians of patient arrival and readiness
• Make appointments for returning patients as necessary
• Prints/reprints appointment reminders and school/work excuses
• May make changes to the patient schedule as necessary
• Coordinates payment arrangements or account resolution
• Receives, stores, and delivers shipments and mail
• Takes payments and posts to account
• Updates charts and patient information
• Drives internal marketing initiatives and fosters participation from everyone
• Travel between the primary Champaign office and the secondary Charleston office as business needs require.

Prerequisites for success:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) year of administrative experience preferred
• Bilingual a plus, but not required

Pay Range: $15.75 - $19.35
