Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide ongoing psychotherapy services through telehealth and in-person sessions, ensuring all interactions comply with HIPAA requirements.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to facilitate healing.

• Maintain accurate client records and documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

• Actively engage in supervision, consultation, and opportunities for professional development to enhance therapeutic skills.

• Work closely with clients to help them develop coping strategies and resilience in addressing life challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Great Valley Psychotherapy, you will work primarily with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various cultural backgrounds. Your sensitivity to the individual needs and customs of each family will be fundamental in creating a therapeutic alliance that fosters trust and collaboration. We focus on providing treatment for a range of issues including trauma, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ concerns, and perinatal mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies, or a closely related field from an accredited educational program.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in New York State.
\n
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with children, families, and individuals.

• Respectful of cultural differences, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse family customs, traditions, and values.
\n
• Willingness to work with a range of clients from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment.

• Proficiency in EHR software and general technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
\n
• Valid Driver's License and car insurance are required, with flexibility to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend per day.

• Commitment to the principles of confidentiality as stipulated by HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience or specialization in therapeutic areas such as trauma, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, or perinatal mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
