About the Role

We're hiring a Senior PPC Media Buyer to own and scale paid acquisition for Stanton Optical, a national optical retail brand. The objective is straightforward: drive qualified eye exam appointments at scale while continuously improving media efficiency.

This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who's run a large, complex paid program, not just maintained one. You'll own hands-on strategy and execution across Google and emerging channels, understand what's driving performance down to the market, keyword, audience, and creative level, and find scale and efficiency opportunities. You'll also mentor a junior buyer, raising their execution as you scale what's working.

Measurement is the core of this role. You'll go well past platform-reported numbers to understand what's genuinely driving results, combining sharp judgment with advanced measurement, AI, and automation in our strategies.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end paid search strategy: campaign structure, bidding, keyword/audience strategy, and Merchant Center feed health across many local markets
• Manage budget pacing and allocation to hit our core goal — qualified, kept appointments — at an efficient cost, including market-specific strategies and new-store launches
• Go beyond platform dashboards: diagnose performance drivers, run a real measurement stack (MTA, MMM, incrementality testing), and keep first-party conversion signals (Customer Match, Enhanced Conversions, offline imports) accurate
• Run a structured test-and-learn roadmap across creative, landing pages, offers, and new platforms — and partner with Creative and CRO teams to close the gap between click and completed appointment
• Build AI-powered workflows and automations (pacing, QA, anomaly detection) that create real operating leverage, with the judgment to know when automation should — and shouldn't — make the call
• Deliver clear, recurring performance narratives to marketing leadership

What you bring

• 5+ years hands-on in paid search/performance marketing, with deep Google Ads expertise across Search, PMax, Demand Gen, YouTube, and Shopping
• A track record scaling leads/appointments/conversions on significant, complex budgets
• Real experience with multi-touch attribution, MMM, and incrementality testing — and the judgment to reconcile conflicting signals
• Strong analytical skills (GA4, GTM, Excel/Sheets at scale) and a demonstrated ability to apply AI to performance marketing, not just content
• Experience building paid-media automations (scripts, APIs, AI agents)
• Excellent communication — you turn complex data into clear recommendations
• A self-starter who moves from insight to action without waiting to be told

Nice to have: multi-location retail, healthcare, or optical experience; connecting digital spend to store-level outcomes; Microsoft Ads or other emerging platforms; Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
