Senior Project Engineer

Sr. Site Project EngineerAs a Sr. Site Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, installation, and execution of capital projects, serving as a senior technical resource for the site. Your role will be a senior active member of the Engineering community, site technical team, the local engineering team, and assigned project team(s). Additionally, you will be responsible for deploying his/her engineering know-how to successfully execute and deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.What are we looking for?Minimum:Bachelor's degree in engineering in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field5 + years of experience in a comparable technical positionA strong understanding of engineering principles demonstrated through multiple capital projects including process, packaging, electrical, construction, mechanical, or other similar applicationsProven deep understanding of engineering principles - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical/Controls, Construction, Utilities.Strong understanding of process fundamentals (temperature, pressure, flow) and utilities systems (steam, boilers, compressed air, water)Proven track record in successfully executing capital projects of greater than $2M value.Demonstrated ability to safely manage consultant engineering firms as well as mechanical and electrical installation contractors in a factory environmentStrong communication, listening, and influencing skillsPreferred:Advanced degree in Engineering or MBA7+ experience in comparable technical position within food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry.Prior knowledge and experience in food safety and clean design a plusWhat will be your key responsibilities?Lead capital projects end-to-end, including scope development, engineering, installation, commissioning, and handover.Engaging project team members, encouraging them to proactively perform assigned tasksManaging multiple responsibilities including project execution, functional support and self-development, concentrating on growing the roleEnsure delivery of scope, timeline, budget, and cash flow for all assigned engineering projects in accordance with the Engineering Work Process (EWP)Contributing to a winning environment which promotes safety, trust and confidenceComplying with and reinforcing safety, security and environmental policiesWhat can you expect from Mars?Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
