Staff Accountant
Immediate opportunity for a Staff Accountant, CPA preferred, for a top manufacturing client in the Flowery Branch, GA Area. The client will pay a salary of $70-$75K, plus benefits and perks for this permanent, full-time position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Additions/disposals of fixed assets, and related depreciation/amortization
- Maintain Construction-In-Progress (CIP) for all projects
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and payments and keep current on rules and regulations
- Work with external CPA on multi-state tax issues, franchise tax, property tax
- Government reporting, such as annual reports, business licenses, etc.
- Monitor and renew insurance and bonding as necessary
- Monthly rebate calculations/processing
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting/forecasting
- Assist with annual audits
- Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable duties, including, but not limited to:
- Entering invoices
- Processing weekly vendor payments
- Processing and payment of commissions, rebates and royalties
- Updating the Vendor Master list in the ERP system
- Assist Controller with other tasks as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA or BS degree required
- Previous heavy Excel use is required, including formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with sales and use tax is required
- Experience with fixed assets is beneficial
- Experience working with external auditors is a plus
- Experience with distribution, inventory accounting is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or 365 is a plus
