Engineering Consultant Mechanical Integrity - Richmond, VA - Permanent (54523)

Job Location: RICHMOND - ROCKVILLE, VA 23146. Position Type: Full Time. Job Category: Engineering. ATS is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services across diverse markets. Responsibilities Perform field inspections of industrial equipment under the supervision of qualified API inspection personnel (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems). Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc. Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel. Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics. Assist in managing projects ranging from $5,000 to $100,000. Assist in managing client relationships. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field. Experience in Mechanical Integrity preferred but not required. Must be willing to travel 30% out of office. API certifications to be obtained through OJT after hire; pre-test support from ATS in specialties: API-510, API-570, API-653, CWI. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred. Desire to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred. U.S. Person required due to ITAR compliance. Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Work Conditions Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection. Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. Work in confined spaces requiring crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. Work around operating equipment and industrial environments.
