Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience, including leading delivery for a squad or stream of work.
• We require a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• We need strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, SQL, SNS, SQS, and Kafka.
• We expect experience with AWS and cloud-native services such as ECS/EKS/Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB/CassandraDB, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• We require proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• We are looking for hands-on experience in system design, RESTful JSON API design, microservices, application development, testing strategy, and operational stability in large, distributed corporate environments.
• We expect hands-on experience across the software development life cycle, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• We need understanding of security and resiliency practices, including OWASP Top 10, OAuth2/OIDC, secrets management, encryption in transit and at rest, and resilient integration patterns such as timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, and bulkheads.
• We are looking for the ability to lead design reviews, guide architectural decisions, and mentor engineers.
• We require operational experience integrating approved AI assistants into development workflows with governance, human review, and measurable outcomes.

• We execute inventive software solutions, design and development work, and technical troubleshooting, going beyond routine approaches to solve complex problems.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify ways to remove or automate fixes for recurring issues to improve the stability of software applications and systems.
• We lead the design and delivery of complex features, ensuring API contracts and backward compatibility.
• We own production readiness by defining SLOs, improving observability, and reducing MTTR through durable fixes and runbooks.
• We write high-quality code across both backend and frontend, and rigorously review peer code.
• We apply database best practices to improve latency and throughput for user-facing experiences.
• We integrate privacy-safe AI tools to speed up development tasks while maintaining human review and CI quality gates.
• We establish governance for AI usage, track measurable outcomes, and protect security and reliability.
• We collaborate with engineering, product, and design partners to deliver end-to-end solutions and drive clarity of outcomes.
